So how do they work their magic? They put in the time to understand the needs, realities, opportunities and challenges of car retailers, manufacturers and their agencies, who are all embracing new ways of working in a digital world and need a little help from us. And of course, we also have to be a friend to the car buyer and seller, understanding how they behave and what they need during their journey with us.
Consumers do their research online now — that’s why 51% buy during their first dealer visit. Our traders need to be seen online, and we make sure their names are front and centre with the UK’s largest audience of in-market buyers. Our trend analysis even helps traders source vehicles to match local demand. Auto Trader accounts for 80% of time UK consumers spend on automotive classified sites. We’re a powerful ally for buyers and sellers.
The shape of the team
Our customer partnership team includes a fantastic group of people. Our sales operation and dealer-facing field staff work with 12,500 active retail partners. Our contact centre team help trade customers and consumers squeeze the juiciest possible benefit from our service. The digital account directors are the go-to team for our trade customers. Our customer experience team has introduced design thinking and customer feedback into the mix to make our service even more personal. And we also have a sales service centre, collections, customer experience team and more. They’re a diverse bunch, but they’re all focused on one thing: Making sure that our customers are bowled over by their experience with us.
