Picture this: you've just accepted a job offer with us. You're probably feeling excited, curious and maybe even a little nervous – all these emotions are completely normal. To help you settle in with confidence, one of the first things you will experience is our new starter induction, named Great Start.

Great Start was created to give you the support, tools, and guidance needed to feel welcomed, connected, and set up for success from day one.

Your experience starts before you even join, as your manager will be in touch to talk through what to expect and answer any questions. Then, when your first day arrives, you'll receive your MacBook and welcome pack, get to meet key people, and gain a clear understanding of your team's priorities.

Alongside this role-specific support, Great Start helps you understand our culture, how we work, and what success looks like at Autotrader - including sessions to build your knowledge of our business and the wider automotive industry (because we certainly don't expect you to know it all straight away!).

Our offsite experience: Greenman

One of the most memorable parts of Great Start is our unique offsite company induction experience in the Peak District. More than a team-building event, Greenman is designed to give new colleagues the chance to experience our culture and values in action, first-hand. Through shared activities, conversations and time to reflect, it helps our people build meaningful connections, develop confidence and understand what it means to be part of Autotrader. For many new starters, it's where they begin to feel truly connected, forming relationships and friendships across the business.

Great Start is only the beginning. The support continues through managers, teams and colleagues who help new starters feel clear, confident and connected in their role.
