Whether it begins with a pair of running shoes or a conversation about the latest film, some of the best relationships start with shared interests. At Autotrader, community is built through everyday moments as much as the big ones. Our 18 sports and social clubs are one of the many ways colleagues can find connection, friendship and belonging across the business. Have a look at some examples of what’s on offer:

Padel club

Whether you’re already a regular player or trying it for the first time, Padel Club offers a fun and accessible way to get involved after work. Sessions take place on rotating evenings, giving more people the chance to take part, and with courts covered by Autotrader, there’s no cost to join in. Just a short walk from the office, it’s an easy way to try something new, enjoy a bit of friendly competition and spend time with others outside the usual working day.

Run club

Popular with our colleagues, this weekly session provides the perfect opportunity to get moving while branching out and connecting with people outside of your immediate team. No running experience? No problem! All abilities are welcome, with different paces to make sure no one is left behind. Each year, the group also takes part in charity fundraisers, such as the Great Manchester Run, giving people another way to give back to the wider community.

Languages club

Autotrader is home to colleagues from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds, and Languages Club is one way we celebrate that. Owned by our Ethnicity Network, the group gives colleagues the chance to explore languages such as Arabic, German, Mandarin, Polish, Malay, Greek, Urdu and French, while uniting people through culture, conversation and shared curiosity.

Film club

A long-running colleague favourite, Film Club has been bringing people together for over 10 years. With free cinema tickets available along with complimentary snacks and drinks, it offers a simple way for colleagues to enjoy new releases, share recommendations and spend time with others who love film just as much as they do.

Football club

For anyone who enjoys a kickabout, this is a weekly chance to get active, have fun and spend time with colleagues outside the usual working day. With mixed-gender games and a range of abilities, it’s less about being the best player on the pitch and more about getting involved and enjoying the game together. The group also takes part in charity fundraisers for men’s mental health, showing how shared interests can make a difference beyond the pitch.

Book club

For anyone who enjoy getting lost in a good read, Book Club offers a relaxed space to share thoughts, discover new authors and hear different perspectives. Each book is chosen around a selected theme, such as fantasy, thriller and mystery, giving everyone the chance to explore something new and join the conversation. Colleagues can also purchase the chosen book and expense it back to Autotrader, making it even easier to take part.
