I am Yetunde Lemboye, a technical support analyst with AutoTrader's Automotive Finance Operations team.
My job entails providing second-line support to our customers on finance queries and troubleshooting issues with the Autoconvert system.
My career story started two years ago when I joined AutoTrader as a customer service advisor. I spent a year working with the Paygo team, assisting consumers who use the website and mobile app to sell and buy cars. I then moved to the Automotive Finance team, and while it took a lot of new learning and adjusting, I am glad I made the move.
My time at Paygo pushed me to make the move. I enjoyed the investigative part of solving customer queries, and I wanted to do that in a more challenging and technical way. So, when I saw the opportunity with Automotive Finance Operations, I applied and thankfully, I got the role.
I develop my skills with on-the-job training and the support of my colleagues. One thing I absolutely love about my role is that there is always something new to learn. The system is so vast that you cannot know it all, and sometimes, we get issues that bamboozle everyone on the team, even those who have been around for years. At the end of the day, we grow our knowledge pool, and we are constantly kept on our toes, ha ha.
Ultimately, my career goal is to move into user experience. Over time, I have discovered that I am passionate about helping users, and that role will help me anticipate user needs and be more proactive than reactive. My career path has developed skills that would benefit my aspired role, as I have learned customer pain points over the years and built my communication and empathy skills. I am taking steps towards this already, thanks to the resources available at AutoTrader. It has been helpful to gain access to LinkedIn learning, have the support of a career mentor to guide me, get advice from Early Careers and the L&D team and have the support of my manager and team members.
While I aspire to a new career, I am learning to be the very best in my current role.
