The Job

Campaign Manager (Ad Operations) 

Our Ad Operations team provide full ad operations services to all regional and agency clients, from campaign implementation, maintenance to optimisation and reporting.  Ad Operations work across numerous platforms such as DFP and are actively encouraged to promote and investigate superior ways of working and collaborating. 

Working as part of this talented team, the Campaign Manager is primarily responsible for the management of digital campaigns across As a member of the Ad Operations team, you will ensure that Auto Trader has the best in class Ad Operations processes, tools and technologies to deliver against client strategies. 

You will be a primary point of contact for your clients and internal customers alike so as to better understand their needs and to offer consultancy around the optimal level of Ad Operations services and support.  Ad Operations and the data it generates is core to Auto Trader’s Digital and Data strategy and this pivotal role also supports the driving forward of the company’s ability to offer our clients the best in class service.

So who are we looking for? Well for a start, we want someone who as well as being highly motivated, will bring a collaborative and innovative approach to their work. Someone is curious, and always open to trying new ways of doing things. You will have a passion for problem solving, an eye for detail, and the ability to multi-task.

In addition you will possess a good knowledge of Ad-servers, ideally DFP from a Publisher or Advertiser side. You will have experience of investigation, documentation and resolution of technical issues. You will be able to facilitate implementation of clients’ campaigns into 3rd party ad serving systems and send ad materials to publishers.

You will have working knowledge of web advertising concepts, commercial relationships, media cost structures and campaign management technologies.

Also important are excellent Excel skills and familiarity with the basics of data manipulation and digital advertising reporting. 

It would also be a massive bonus if you also had a good grasp of web analytics and ad-server conversion and container tags, as well as Google Analytics.

Some knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5 and Flash would also be useful, but by no means a show-stopper if you didn’t.
